Historically, when women became mothers,
they could turn to nearby family and community
to ease the transition into motherhood.
Modern day life has spread these "villages" apart.
Motherhood hasn't gotten any easier.
Mother Squad fills that gap.
Our video chat groups expertly guide you through early motherhood.
Our Mother Squad NICU groups are easy, affordable, commitment free and peer-reviewed. These video chat sessions are led by licensed therapists, Dr. Esther Chon and Dr. Sharon Tan, who have worked with NICU families for over a decade. You will also be in the group with other NICU parents who are on a similar journey.
Our $10 drop-in Bedrest Squads are are a convenient and affordable way for expectant moms on bedrest—in hospitals or at home— to get the support that they need. Our groups connect you with a therapist who was on bedrest during her pregnancy, as well as with other women who are currently on bedrest. Our groups help women receive connection, empathy, and validation.
Our Pay-As-You-Go groups are the best of both worlds. Easy, affordable, commitment-free, and peer-reviewed! These video chat sessions are led by our verified facilitators, who are experts on all things mom. Think of it as crowdsourcing a professional with 10-15 friends who likely have very similar questions to the ones on your mind.Tell Me More...

Who are the moms in our groups?
Moms with young infants. Working moms. Stay-at-home moms. Moms of multiple kids. Moms who've moved to new cities or towns. All types of moms.
So, what do all of these moms have in common?
They join our community because they want to connect with other moms and learn about motherhood in a way that fits into their busy lives.
That's why we're here.
We are your virtual village of support through motherhood.
Mother Squad sessions have been life-changing and integral for my mental health. I was able to connect with other new mothers and our facilitator specialized in mom-care. It felt great to be a part of something so powerful for mothers, which allowed us to seek the support we needed. I would recommend Mother Squad to any mom looking to meet other moms online while connecting on a deeper level and finding hope in this new phase of life called motherhood.
Mother Squad couldn’t have appeared in my life at a better time. I had just made the transition back to full time work and I found myself having a tough time adjusting to what seemed like an impossible and crazy schedule filled with constant anxiety, stress, and guilt. Mother Squad was such a blessing in so many ways. Being able to connect with other moms who were going through some of the same struggles and having the outlet to discuss topics like mommy guilt, sleep training, and dealing with unsolicited advice provided the support I so desperately needed. We not only shared information and personal experiences with each other, we also shared moments of laughter. The lead facilitator did such a great job in listening to us and acknowledging our feelings, which was an added bonus. Oh and did I mention, this was all done from the comfort of my home? I highly recommend Mother Squad, especially for all the new mommies out there.

I had a great experience with Mother Squad. The other moms were in nearly identical stages with their children. We were able to commiserate on my favorite topic... how do we get these children to sleep? We all had stories to share and in the end, I came away with some great advice!

Back in May, I joined Mother Squad, and let me tell you: it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made in my short time as a mommy! My group met every Wednesday evening for an hour for four weeks, and I seriously loved it! I also got to make new mommy friends, who I still keep in contact with. Mother Squad was the perfect place for me to explore my feelings without judgment , get expert tips and advice, and feel like I belonged in a community.
As a working mother, time is a rare commodity. Mother Squad afforded me the opportunity to share my experience and to find much needed support on my timeline and in the comfort of my home. Thank you Mother Squad for bringing this extraordinary group of women together. I learned so much from my group, but most of all I found moments of sanity and laughter in our shared experience of motherhood.

I had a great experience with Mother Squad and looked forward to each session. The discussion topics were helpful and provided a way for everyone to personally connect with each other. The platform was easy to use and it was really nice (and stress free) being able to join the sessions from my living room! I would recommend Mother Squad to any new mom because the sessions are very supportive and are a nice way to meet amazing women.
